Please note the following requirements

  • All applicants must provide proof of residency in Santa Barbara County
  • Applicants must commit to a sliding scale subscription for our organic, nutrient-dense soups
  • If approved to be part of our program, you will receive regular follow-up surveys
  • Failure to submit follow-up survey information will result in discontinuation of service
  • Waitlist for sliding scale: Low-income applicants on a sliding scale must submit income verification

What types of soups will be delivered?

Organic Soup Kitchen soups are:

All soups are pureed for easy digestion and formulated to boost your immune system during your recovery process. Soups are hermetically sealed in 24-oz BPA-free containers.

What is the Fee-for-Service?

Soup services require a weekly donation fee of minimum $30 for 2 soups per week. Soup containers are $15 per container. Container size is 24oz (3 servings).

LOW-INCOME:
Upon approval of acceptable W2 form or 1040 form, if client’s annual income is under the current low-income requirements as stated by HUD, Organic Soup Kitchen will discuss your options for soup services and delivery.

I am low-income - what are my options?

There is a fee for service. Low-income individuals must apply for a discount. Upon approval of acceptable W2 form or 1040 form, if client’s annual income is under the current low-income requirements by HUD, Organic Soup Kitchen will further discuss your options for soup services and delivery.

When are deliveries?

Soups are delivered every Wednesday between 9 AM – 2 PM. Client must be present in order to receive soup. If client is unable to be present, please leave a cooler outside.

Where do you deliver?

Organic Soup Kitchen currently delivers weekly soup to Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, Summerland, Goleta and The Santa Ynez Valley. If client resides in areas outside of the map, arrangements can be discussed with our intake department. There is also a pick-up option.

Where can I pickup soups?

Soups are available for pick-up every Wednesday between 8:30 AM – 11 AM at 608 Anacapa Street, Suite C – go around the back of the building for entrance. (Note this is not our mailing address.)

What happens if client is not home?

Organic Soup Kitchen requires that client is present at time of delivery. If client is unable to be present at time of delivery, please notify us in advance and leave a cooler outside for soups to maintain stability.

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Residential lease/property deed
  • Utility bill (electric, gas, water, phone, etc.)
  • Letter from the government/court (marriage license, divorce, government aid)
  • Bank statement
  • Driver’s license
  • Car registration
