He is committed to serving organic, healthy food to help prevent nutritional deficiencies in homeless individuals. Anthony grew up in Rhode Island in a small community where neighbors would invite you over and the first thing they would say is, "Didja eat?" No matter how you responded, a plate of food would appear. Life was good. People cared for one another. No matter what else was going on, you knew that you belonged Anthony strives to contribute this feeling of belonging to as many people as possible, and believes that a part of doing that is to feed them great, wholesome food. Anthony Carrocio Organic Soup Kitchen maintains that all persons, regardless of economic status, have the right to healthy, organic food, and seeks to nourish and educate at-risk populations while sustaining their health, future, and environment. This year, i was honored to be a part of helping my dear friends Anthony and Andrea at their Organic Soup Kitchen in Santa Barbara. http://www.organicsoupkitchen.org 148 volunteers fed 850 fresh, healthy, organic Thanksgiving meals to people in transition. It was such a memorable and rewarding experience. I am so grateful for altruistic organizations such as this, that operate from a true place of love and giving.
